I’ve always lived by the motto of “create your own opportunities.”

Years ago, when my corporate gig came to an end during the recession, I did the only reasonable thing I could think of. I began travelling. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Paris; immersing myself in the culture, lifestyle, cuisine, the experience, studying the language, and it hit me.

My purpose is to create experiences that tell a story.

Although I am a Wedding and Event Planner by trade, I decided to leave that career behind and pursue a life in tech sales – during the height of the pandemic, no less. While at first glance most people wonder how on earth I’ve made the transitions in the way I have, I just looked at the types of work I was doing on a daily basis. The systems I had in place or was learning, projects I was toying with, the people I was meeting, and more importantly, the types of conversations I was having. All of these little elements led me to where I am today.

What I found to be most interesting throughout many of the conversations I’ve had is, regardless of what stage a person is in within their life, the same overall mindset seems to remain, “I’m afraid of…” “I don’t think I can…” “I’m so used to…” Because I resonate with this on so many levels, I found that sharing my stories helps people feel understood. So, here I am; attempting to practice what I preach by sharing with all of you, my journey, the tough lessons and the magical moments throughout my life doing the things that matter most to me.
